Our very first TV challenge takes us to Seattle: home of the Space Needle, rainy weather and most importantly, McDreamy and McSteamy!
That's right, I'm tasking Him with watching Grey's Anatomy (9/8c on ABC) this Thursday night. He's told me that He used to watch this popular show years ago (when it was even more popular), but eventually gave it up. What kind of TV fan does that, I ask you? Bet he wouldn't stop watching his precious Celtics if they had a few less-than-stellar episodes. Or games. Whatever you call them.
So take a stroll down memory lane, my friend. Catch up with Meredith and Alex and Cristina. (Spoiler alert: George isn't on anymore. There was a bus situaion.) There's also a bunch of new characters to get to know.
I look forward to reading what you think about Grey's circa fall 2011. Love it? Hate it? Totally confused? Let us all know. And don't forget to give yourself a McNickname.
I really struggle with new characters. When shows that have a very set cast introduce new characters, I give it about an 80-85% chance that the viewers are not going to like them. They throw off the dynamic, bring in random story lines that no one cares about or complicate things that don't need complications.
ReplyDeleteGrey's starting getting complicated when Meredith's sister (I think she was her sister) came on. I lost track of what was going on, couldn't relate and didn't think the show was worth following anymore. I mean how many depressing episodes can one show have?
I'm sure Meredith is still a little strange and in love with McDreamy. I guess George is off the show, and I think Izzy left so she could star in 10 consecutive romantic comedies with the same plot. Isn't Cristina with McSteamy?
In any event, I'm willing to see this challenge. But just like with the introduction or terrible new characters, I'm giving this an 85% chance that it is the last time I watch or talk about Grey's.
