Tonight I'll be checking out Suburgatory (8:30/7:30c, ABC). Moving from NYC to the suburbs is an adjustment for anyone. A single dad raising a teenage daughter? Adjustment would be a huge understatement. In this show we follow George Altman and his daughter Tessa as they put the city streets behind for those white picket fences, brining us a father/daughter dynamic that is sure to present a few entertaining moments.
I'm not really sure the show has the legs to make it through the season but I'm willing to give it a shot.
What's better than the 'burbs, He asks? Vampires. Circles of secret witches. Celebrities dancing. A father telling his children the very, very long tale of how he met their mother. Shall I go on?
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I did watch Suburgatory. Obvi. But it was not even in contention for my Wednesday must-watch. Nor will it ever be, based on the first episode. Not horrible, not great - just there. There were no characters I was really drawn to. Plus, the whole thing seemed a little fake to me. And not the good kind of fake, like The Hills used to be.
I'll keep it in my scheduled recordings for now, but if my DVR is ever in danger of being full (and you know it will be), this show's up at the top of my delete list.
