Tonight I'm going to do a little something different with my must-watch. It's definitely one I'm going to watch, but not because I think I will enjoy it in any way. I actually want to go on record as saying this show will be canceled (soon), and I want to do so before ever seeing a full episode. I don't even think I've seen a full preview, come to think of it, since I've tuned out those few times I have seen it promoted so far. What show could this be, you ask in anticipation? Well, if you follow tvguide.com religiously like muah, you know tonight is the season premiere of Man Up! (8:30/7:30c on ABC).
Now, that apostrophe wasn't mine - it's in the title graphic. There's even an upward arrow in the "U". Now if you have to scream your show's name and draw a symbol in it, I think that's a sure sign you're trying awfully hard to convince an audience that your show doesn't suck. I feel a little bad for Amanda Detmer who is apparently in this show, because I did like her on What About Brian and as a patient of Addison Montgomery on Private Practice. What About Brian was canceled. Detmer's character's husband cheated on her with Addison. But unfortunately, it doesn't look like third time will be the charm for this unlucky lady. Man Up is going nowhere but down, in my opinion.
I predicted How to be a Gentleman would be canceled. Could I go 2 for 2 with Man Up? Place your bets TV-loving ladies and gents!
