When it first hit the air, I'll admit, I didn't watch. The wounds were still fresh from The OC getting canceled, and another teen drama was just too much to take. I heard season two was nothing to write home about, and I was actually happy I hadn't gotten involved. What was I thinking? Finally, I watched the pilot on DVD. Two months later we were all caught up and I was hooked.
Tonight, we get reacquainted with some of our favorite TV characters (they are all intriguing in their own way, which is why this show is so ridiculously good). How did Serena van der Woodsen spend her summer (undoubtedly better than all of us did)? What's going to happen with Blair, Prince Louis and Chuck Bass? We're only hours away from the next brooding Dan Humphry meltdown.
I can't wait. XOXO.
Your love of the teen melodrama is both intriguing and disturbing. :) AEG
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to admit, I somehow missed the entire last season of Gossip Girl. I missed one show, and then another, and then it spiraled from there like a web of lies in an infamous Blair Waldorf revenge plot.
ReplyDeleteI had a mini marathon this weekend and watched about 6 episodes, but I still have a bunch to go. I hate being out of the loop when I see promos or read things online. Blair and Lonely Boy Dan hooked up? Elizabeth Hurley is on? Someone or someones is/are pregnant? Serena has left Dan, Nate and her professor behind for someone playing Leonardo Dicaprio? What the what?
Fear not, fellow TV watchers. Catching up on this show is one of my top priorities over the next couple of weeks. Because if Gossip Girl has taught us anything, it's that no matter where you go or how long you're away, you always return to the Upper East Side. Unless you're Little J. Or get offered a bigger role on another show. I'm talking to you, Eric van der Woodsen (now on Revenge).
